Time really does fly. The 2006-2007 program year is growing short, with three meetings left. Soon you’ll elect your 2007-2008 LSC officers and your national leaders. And in May you can learn new skills at the International STC Conference in Minneapolis. This month I’d like to take care of business and address each one of these topics in a bit more detail.

We have the following meetings left in the 2006-2007 program year:
Universal Usability, with Whitney Quesenbery, on Thursday, March 8, 2007
Beyond Public Speaking Basics: Presenting Technical Information to Non-Technical Audiences, with Lynne Cooke, on Thursday, April 12, 2007
Creating Usable and Accessible Web Content: What Research from Several Fields Tells Us, with Janice (Ginny) Redish, on Thursday, May 3, 2007
Community elections are just around the corner. We will announce the ballot at the March community meeting, but there’s still time for you to take an active role in our community. I strongly encourage you to become a part of this amazing LSC team. Not only will you work closely with one of the best groups of people I know, you will also learn and develop new skills.
We’ll find the perfect place for you! Please contact one of the following people if you’re up for making a difference:
Jim Chambless, your Nominations Committee chair, at nominating@stc-dfw.org
