Leadership, Quality, Project Management and the Technical Communicator

by Lauren Womack, PR Manager

Did you wake up one morning and realize you are the project manager of every project you're involved in? Have you ever needed to quantify and articulate your value as a team member? Do you think you might like to take on a larger leadership role in your organization?

Come eat, drink, and think about "Quality from the Top: The role of Value Analysis for Project Management in Technical Communications"! In this presentation executive consultant, David Lanners, MBA, PMP, starts our program year with a light-hearted look at the serious subjects of:

David LannersMr. Lanners, a graduate of the Harvard Business School and self-described graduate of the School of Hard Knocks, specializes in helping senior executives and business owners build successful project-driven organizations. When asked what our community will be able to take away from his presentation, he replied, "Those who must get projects completed on time to support communications programs will find this presentation most helpful because it highlights important principles in interesting and memorable ways."

Our fearless leader, LSC President Dr. Jackie Damrau, says, "Project management is a key element in the field of technical communication. We all can use project management skills to keep our projects on task."
