Have you noticed a chapter member who has gone above and beyond time and time again? That person who has added tremendous value to our organization? Now is the time to nominate that person for the Distinguished Chapter Service Award.

Who does the Distinguished Chapter Service Award Recognize?

The Distinguished Chapter Service Award was created by the STC in 1988 to recognize chapter members' hard work and dedication. With this award we recognize our members who consistently display the energy and enthusiasm that makes STC the largest, most effective, and most prestigious organization of technical communicators in the world.

Who is eligible for the Distinguished Chapter Service Award?

Those eligible for the Distinguished Chapter Service Award include:

• Members who have shown consistent service over the time of chapter membership.
• Members who have shown a variety of service over the time of chapter membership.
• Members who are not current voting members of the LSC administrative council.

How do I nominate someone for the Distinguished Chapter Service Award?

The nomination process is very simple. Send the following information to Louellen Coker at 2ndvp@stc-dfw.org no later than September 30 for consideration. Let us know

• The person's name, address, and telephone number
• The person's length of membership in STC
• The reason, in a brief paragraph, that you are nominating this person for this award.
