Technically Write continues to improve as a newsletter in the electronic age. Did you know that if you hover your cursor over most of the photos in the newsletter, a caption will appear? Or that if you click most author bylines, their bio will pop up?
There is much further to go, of course, but the joy of being able to bring you Debbie Wiles' vivid PowerPoint presentation about her China trip is beyond measure. As far as I know, TW was the first STC newsletter to provide AVI movies, and as I peruse other chapter newsletters, I can most assuredly aver that no one— NO ONE —brings as many photos to the membership as does Technically Write.
And, oh yes, the content continues to flow in. In addition to Debbie's contribution, read Marilyn Pospisil's wise treatise on copyediting. Contributing Editor Jackie Damrau continues to find articles of interest to add to the ones she writes.
One thing that is lacking that many other chapter newsletters have is a "printer-friendly" option. Shocking, considering that I'm using single-sourcing software to create these volumes. If there's an adventurous sort out there who'd like a shot at creating an attractive newsletter Word-based template for use in AuthorIT, don't hesitate to contact me.
In the meantime, I hope you continue to enjoy your e-newsletter. Sorry if I've been tooting my own horn.
