I would like to thank you and the LSC scholarship committee for awarding me the Lone Star Chapter STC Scholarship. When I received the e-mail saying that I had won the scholarship, I was speechless. Going to the LSC meeting, having my name called out in public, and getting my picture taken was more than I expected.
The scholarship has helped me in ways you could not imagine. I did not have to pay for my tuition this semester, and I still had enough money to buy my books. Now I don't have to worry about making ends meet, and I make enough money to eat and pay my bills. You were a college student once and you know what I'm talking about—at least now I don't have to live off rice, tuna and mayonnaise.
Thank you again for taking the time and reading my application. I look forward to seeing you again soon. All the classes I am taking this semester are night classes, so that makes it hard to get away. However, as soon as my schedule permits, I will come to an LSC meeting. Again, thank you. I cannot express how thankful I am.
