22nd Tech Writing Institute (Announcement)

Announcing a special training opportunity for high school teachers of technical communication in all subject areas:

The Society for Technical Communication will award scholarships* to secondary teachers to attend the 22nd Annual Institute in Technical Communication June 16-21, 2002, in Myrtle Beach, SC.

$850 STC Scholarships cover tuition, lodging, and meals for the week. Recipients are responsible for travel to and from Myrtle Beach.

Sponsored by TYCA-SE, an NCTE association, Horry-Georgetown Technical College, Conway, SC, and Paducah Community College, Paducah, KY, this renowned school is the only one of its kind in existence. Its distinguished faculty consists of leading educators in the field of technical communication as it relates to all disciplines, secondary and college levels.

This is an exciting opportunity to learn classroom-ready teaching strategies, to network with tech comm professionals across North America, to collect valuable resources for teaching technical communication.
