A Letter From the President

E-mail Print PDF
Hello all!

I'm very excited about our upcoming year! We've booked some great speakers and topics, and I hope you can attend!

Big Announcements:

  1. New Name - We have changed our official name to 'North Texas Lone Star Chapter.' This was necessary to resolve a mailing mix-up at the IRS, and will hopefully make it easier for STC members to identify our region. The website and all other related items will be the same, but our official name has changed.
  2. New Bylaws - While we've been busy reformulating our chapter, we've also adopted new bylaws to be in sync with STC, who also recently updated their own bylaws. The bylaws are quite similar to the previous; although this round doesn't include some of the particulars, such as committees, etc. This allows our chapter to be more flexible and adopt policies and procedures that can identify roles and committees, separate from the bylaws. This edit will hopefully reduce any need to regularly update the bylaws. Click here to review the new bylaws. Please send any comments/questions to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
